The time has come… 2020 IS HERE!
It’s no secret that running is simply awesome and it doesn’t need any introduction.
One of the best ways to get motivated is to sign up to a race. There are some AMAZING events in 2020 to choose from but remember they often sell out very fast.

BUFF WALES TRAIL 10K
Back for it’s fifth year, the Buff Wales Trail 10k & 5K event will take place on Saturday 11th January 2020, 11AM at Bryn Bettws Lodge.
Our most popular 10k race in Wales is back for 2020 and we will again be taking in the breath-taking tracks and trail of Afan Forest country Park.
This event will set off your new year with a REAL challenge.
AFAN FAN FOREST RUNNING ENDURO
Imagine RUNNING a 12k race on some of the worlds most popular mountain bike tracks!
Taking place on 12th Jan the Enduro Afan Forest is approximately an 8 mile trail run that takes you on a journey through Afan forests single tracks and trails. This race will be quite the opposite of boring and an awesome challenge completely different from anything you’ve done before.
HOKA HALF MARATHON
Returning to S.Wales on Saturday the 22nd February 2020 is the HOKA One One Winter Trail Half Marathon. This is by far one of Tough Runner’s most popular races that gets everyone talking.
The course has some of the most spectacular views a runner can imagine in one of the most remarkable forestry and heathland in the UK. And yes, it 2020 will still include the almighty hill named ‘The Wall’ at mile 11.
WILDFLOWER DUATHLON
The Wildflower Duathlon event will take place on March 15th 2020 at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.
This is a fantastic race for anyone looking for a challenge that is different. The race comprises of a 5K run around the beautiful gardens followed by a 30km cycle, then another 5K run to finish off. 2020 is the 3rd year for the Wildflower Duathlon and places are almost sold out.
The Wales DUATHLON 2020

The Wales Duathlon event will take place on Sunday April 5th 2020 at 8AM at the beautiful Penarth Esplanade.
The highly popular Wales Duathlon which takes place in the breath-taking scenery of Penarth and its surrounding roads. .
Swansea trail half marathon
This event will take place on Saturday 18th April 2020, Start.
Swansea Trail Half Marathon is brand new for 2020. This event will take place from the stunning surroundings of Oxwich Bay and is set to be one of the most highly anticipated half marathons in Wales
The route comprises some of the very best views of the Gower which became the first area in the United Kingdom to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Swansea Epic Trail 10k
The Swansea Epic Trail 10k event will take place on Sunday 10th May 2020.
Back for 2020 is the third edition of the extremely popular Swansea Epic Trail 10k, this event will take place within the stunning grounds of the Penllergare Valley woods.
The Swansea Epic 10k brings you that awesome experience of a 10k race that takes you through some of the panoramic views of Penllergare Valley Woods.

Cardiff EpiC
Trail 10K
Cardiff Epic Trail 10k returns on 26th July 2020.
The Cardiff Epic Trail 10k has been a blast the past two years! Over a thousand participants joined us to soak up the pure picturesque and historic Fforest Fawr. The route within the Forest has certainly got that key element of ‘Tough’ and comprises of breathtaking views across the route.
This is a REAL challenge and probably one of the toughest 10K challenges in Wales. This event sells out every year so make sure you book your place early.
SNOWDONIA EPIC
TRAIL 10K
Taking place in Betws-y-Coed, Snowdonia on Sunday 13th September 2020 the Snowdonia Epic Trail 10k is set to be one of the most highly anticipated new 10K’s in Wales! With capacity for over a thousand participants we aim to soak up the pure picturesque scenery of Snowdonia.
Famous for its outstanding surroundings this race has caused a high buzz and is already almost sold out.
