A new race in collaboration with BADASS MOTHER RUNNERS

The BADASS Epic Trail 10k.

At only 2 years old, Badass Mother Runners may still be new to the scene but they are making a big noise in the running world! Things are about to get even bigger…

Not only do they already have an impressive social following and an award-winning range of kit they were also recently voted ‘Best Running Club’ in the UK by Women’s Running Magazine.

General registration for all of these events will open Friday January 29th 2021
This race is strictly limited to 500 runners and is expected to sell out FAST.

This route is a tough, demanding and stunning course, in the beautiful Fforest Fawr.

If you haven’t been to a Tough Runner event before, you’re in for a surprise! We like to think of it as more than just a race, we make extra effort to make sure it’s a day for you to remember!

The 10k race is open to all levels, from beginners to elite athletes. Everyone is welcome to sign up.

Great inaugural Cardiff Epic 10k in Fforest Fawr from Tough Runner. Fabulous route (exceedingly tough climbs.... particularly in today’s oven-bake heat) but oh, so pretty! Lovely enthusiastic marshals, great base for registration and a brilliantly organised event! Thanks all.... I loved it

It is my second tough runner event, I also did the garwnant one. I must say both times, the events have been very well organised! I have enjoyed both events and will definitely be doing these again next year! All the marshals and event organisers have done a fantastic job!

Cardiff was my second tough runner event and both were superb! Fantastic challenging routes with spectacular scenery! The team and Marshall’s are brilliant and deserve a medal for hanging out in the heat and smiling! Thank you all! I’ll definitely be back

How to get there:
Fforest Fawr is near Tongwynlais off the A470.
The OS grid reference is ST 143 838.

Directions
From the A470, follow the signs to Castell Coch. Continue past the castle entrance for 1.5 kilometres passed the Fforest Fawr car park and up to Mountain View Ranch car park.

Is there a bag drop area?

No please leave all valuables in your car.

Will there be a photographer on the day?

YES! Our photography is applied by the amazing Ed Morris Photography so make sure to check out his pages.

Will there be water on the course?

Yes water will be located at the start/finish and halfway point.
