EVENT INFORMATION:
Tough Runner UK is excited to introduce the second edition of the Buckinghamshire Duathlon, set in the glorious Wendover Woods. The run route will take you through Wendover woodlands on firetrack roads/paths and then on to the fast bike course around the open Aylesbury roads.
The event is open to experienced athletes and beginners. This event will no doubt attract some of the UK’s most talented athletes. This is a race not to be missed. Wendover woods has been given a £4.5million redevelopment and is the perfect venue for a Tough Runner UK Duathlon event.
British Triathlon Federation Rules
BTF rules: All competitors must comply with BTF rules, (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to this race).

Minimum age for competitors
The minimum age to take part in this event is 17.
British Triathlon Federation Rules
BTF rules, All competitors must comply with BTF rules, (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to this race)
All competitors must be licensed to race, those non BTF members will be required to pay a £5GBP levy for a day license. This is included in the non member entry cost.
Keep racing tidy
If you intend to use your own nutrition please keep hold of it until you reach a suitable place to discard of it.
We would appreciate if you would either wait until you reach a dedicated trash zone or give them to a marshal.
Transition rules
Security will be present in the transition area. Only competitors wearing their ID will be allowed in or out.
Your race pack will include a race number and 2 stickers which are to be attached to your bike and helmet. This must be done prior to entering the transition zone.
No riding is allowed in the transition zone. Your helmet must be fastened on your head at all times whilst you are on tour bike or running through transition with your bike.

Upper Icknield Way, Aston Clinton, Aylesbury
From Wendover – take the B4009 towards Tring, take the right hand turn approximately one mile north of RAF Halton, signposted Wendover Woods and St Leonards. The main entrance will be found on the right.
From the A41 – take the Wendover exit and take the B4009 towards Aston Clinton. Take the first left towards Wendover. After approximately half a mile take a left turn signposted Wendover Woods and St Leonards.
Local buses will take you as far as Halton. Chiltern Line runs a regular service to Wendover from Marylebone train station.

Parking will be within the grounds of Wendover Woods and there is a small charge as facilitated by Forestry Commission England.
Please make sure to bring some cash for your entry to their car park.

Due to the nature of the race we advise you to plan your race fuel and take your own water and fuel/gels on route.
