Welcome to the third edition of the Cardiff Trail Half Marathon taking place from the awesome Mountain View Ranch.
EVENT DETAILS:
The event will take you on a journey through some of Cardiff best know landmarks. With the route starting at Fforest Fawr heading on to the Taff trail and sensational views from the top of Craig-Yr-Allt.
Will it be flat? NO! Will it be boring? NO! We’re not called Tough Runner for nothing. We will be going all out to make this the most exciting, entertaining race of the year.
If you haven’t been to a Tough Runner event before, you’re in for a surprise! We like to think of it as more than just a race, we make extra effort to make sure it’s a day for you to remember! There will be lots of Marshals on route to encourage you along the way, plenty of water and sweeties. A full scale event set up with great music to get you in the mood.
The Half Marathon race is open to all levels, from beginners to elite athletes. Everyone is welcome to sign up.

How to get there:
Fforest Fawr is near Tongwynlais off the A470.
The OS grid reference is ST 143 838.
Directions
From the A470, follow the signs to Castell Coch. Continue past the castle entrance for 1.5 kilometres passed the Fforest Fawr car park and up to Mountain View Ranch car park.
There will be toilets and cafe style venue at Mountain View Ranch. Please use facilities before making your way down to the start/finish area.
Parking will be provided by Mountain View Ranch at a cost of £5 per car. Parking is limited so please car share if possible.
This event is open to people of all abilities.
