EVENT DETAILS:

The Glasgow Duathlon event will take place on 13th May 2023 at 8AM at Mossneuk Farm Estate.

THIS RACE IS OPEN FOR ENTRY TO ALL ABILITIES FROM BEGINNERS TO SEASONED ATHLETES.

Tough Runner UK welcomes you to the second edition of the Glasgow Duathlon which takes place in the breath-taking scenery of Mossneuk estate just out side the main hustle and bustle of Glasgow.

The run course will take part within the spectacular estate and then transition onto the bike that will take you out onto the surrounding roads. This outstanding bike course boasts of unrivalled scenery and stunning farm lands.

So let’s get down to the details:
Event Date – Saturday 13th May 2023 – 8AM Start
Event venue – Mossneuk Farm Estate
Event Distance – 5k 30k 5k
Number of participants – 400

The Glasgow Duathlon can be entered by anyone who feels capable of completing the above distances.

British Triathlon Federation Rules
BTF rules, All competitors must comply with BTF rules, (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to his race). All competitors must be licensed to race, those non BTF members will be required to pay a £6GBP levy for a day license. This is now all digital and is included in the non member entry cost.

BIKE ROUTE  >
Please note: The entire bike route is on the open road, there is no off-road elements. 

RUN ROUTE  >
Please note: There is a small open road section on the run route.

Anybody caught doing so will be DSQ drafting is cheating.

Minimum age for competitors
The minimum age to take part in this event is 17.

British Triathlon Federation Rules

Keep racing tidy
If you intend to use your own nutrition please keep hold of it until you reach a suitable place to discard of it.
We would appreciate if you would either wait until you reach a dedicated trash zone or give them to a marshal.

Transition rules
Security will be present in the transition area. Only competitors wearing their ID will be allowed in or out.

Your race pack will include a race number and 2 stickers which are to be attached to your bike and helmet. This must be done prior to entering the transition zone.
No riding is allowed in the transition zone. Your helmet must be fastened on your head at all times whilst you are on tour bike or running through transition with your bike.

I think if your looking for something a little different than the norm, and a little more challenging then tough runner UK are the boys/girls to try. I done my first duathlon this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed and the organisation and support was great too. I will definitely try another of their events soon. Give them a go.
