I was slightly sceptical after the last minute route change. But I was very pleasantly surprised. It was a very well organised race. Hills, muds, woods and more!! What’s not to like?? The medal was absolutely lush!!

I’ve ran in the Hoka-Half Winter trail for the last 2 years and can highly recommend it. The organisers get it right in terms of a route that’s challenging, picturesque, well laid out and marshalled.

What can I say about this years HOKA ONE ONE WINTER TRAIL HALF MARATHON. Absolutely EPIC !! My third year at this event, and keeps getting better with each iteration. How they pulled of such an awesome last minute coarse change, I don’t know. Yes some issues with available parking. But the marshals were amazing helping every one get out safely. In fact that was the overwhelming hi-light of the day, THE AWESOME MARSHALS, so cheery and full of encouragement when you needed it most 🙂. And that new coarse, what a monster LOL, especially the last 2 miles, BRUTAL. I’ll be back

Great race today guys at the Hoka Winter Trail Half Marathon! There were some excellent improvements on last years race. Race bibs sent out before to avoid waiting at registration, good spread of marshals and improved signage, the course was more varied which made for a more challenging but fun route. Also the set up at the finish area was fun, tunes blasting with a bucket full of sweets and fruit went down well. The tech tees and medal were quality also! Finally the prizes for the top 3 were class, with slate trophies, a pair of Hokas and a tee! Will keep an eye out for the next race
