THAT was an amazing experience!.
@toughrunneruk 10k through Afan Forrest.
Mile 1: all uphill from start to the end of that mile. My god it was long and steep.
Mile 2: more up hill gradually evened out but I was dead by this point but loving it.
Mile 3: Down hills now and I’m flying . Taking in all the views and smells and really felt great.
Miles 4,5 and 6 pretty much the same, more down hills and beautiful scenery to be enjoyed.
The final 2-300 meters, my god! A hill to make or break you. It didn’t stop until you crossed that finish line.
It was tough, it was epic, it was amazing.
Such a difference from yesterday where I couldn’t run further than a minute.
This is my first ever trail event and I effing loved it.
I am a trail lover now and I plan to revisit this whenever I can.
Great hills to train on an perfect @racetothestones training to be had here.
It’s only a 20 min drive away so why have I not been here before now!?. Now I know I intend to make use of it.
So glad I did this as I nearly didn’t bother.
Well organised, great support and great crowd.
Will definitely do this again.
